BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST (BCBA)

Job Description:

The BCBA provides ABA services to clients and families primarily in the clinic but can also occur in the home and community as needed. The BCBA is a leadership role requiring the ability to manage a team of therapists, supervise a caseload, and effectively run a variety of ABA programs in the clinic and community settings. The BCBA reports directly to their Clinic Director as well as the Owners. Duties can include:

  • Skills assessments
  • Behavioral assessments
  • Providing supervision to all therapists including those seeking BCBA certification
  • Staying up to date on current research
  • Documentation of all procedures and programming
  • Draft conceptually well-written and grammatically-correct progress reports, outlining the child’s strengths and deficits. Reports should reflect progress, challenges and relevant future goals and strategies
  • Develop and implement skills acquisition and social skills programs
  • Develop and implement behavior intervention plans
  • Conducts intake interviews and creates recommendations for comprehensive and focused services
  • Consult and provide training for parents, teachers, and community members
  • Adhere to ethical standards in HIPAA and BCBA code of ethics
  • Collaborate with all other team members of the child’s educational and therapeutic environment
  • Staff, train, coach and facilitate treatment teams
  • Present at staff trainings
  • Participate in marketing events (Autism Walk, Down Syndrome Walk, Mikey’s Guide Expo, etc.)
  • Monitor’s client’s overall programming needs
  • Keeps an average billable time quota of 25 hours per week, recorded on timesheet
  • Follows all requirements of various funder requirements per client including reporting, authorizations, treatment documentation, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Credentials:

  • Must have a Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field or Masters Equivalent
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Must hold Texas Licensure as a Behavior Analyst
  • Must be eligible to obtain credential to supervise aspiring behavior analysts
  • Must pass a background check
  • 2+ years of applied experience working with special needs children, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
  • Person must possess excellent leadership, interpersonal and time management skills, proficiency with writing and communication, good problem-solving skills, and must work well within teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience using ABA including DTT will be required.

REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN

We are currently considering applicants for our Registered Behavior Technician job at our Clear Lake and Grand Oak Academy locations!

Job Description:

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to clients and families in the day program center and community.

Duties can include:

– Skills assessments such as VB-MAPP or ABLLS-R
– Behavioral assessments
– Implementation of BCBA-approved behavior intervention plans
– Implementation of BCBA-approved skill acquisition programming
– Regular supervision from a Behavior TLC-approved BCBA
– Clerical work in the form of:
* Keeping track of personal time card
* Session notes
* Maintenance of client programming
– Other duties as assigned

Possible Job Duties in addition to those above:

– Provide training to staff and parents
– Complete regular administrative and caseload duties such as case management
– In some cases, take on consultation cases for in-homes, clinic, and community
– Continue to participate in regular training sessions
– Provide training to newer employees
– Cleaning/janitorial duties in the office/clinic areas
– Physically care for clients including toilet training and/or changing diapers
– Contact with bodily fluids such as saliva, mucus, urine, bowel movements, and blood
– Travel throughout the Houston area

Required Skills:

– Must be physically able to lift 35 lbs. on a daily basis, squat, be up and down from the floor multiple times per hour and run for at least 25 yards

The behavior technician is our direct therapist working one-on-one with our clients.

This position does not require any experience, we provide all training.

LEAD ABA THERAPIST ASSISTANT

Job Description:

A Lead Therapist Asistant continues to provide direct one-on-one ABA services while also gathering training experience in managing a caseload including choosing targets, writing reports, and training a team. This role is the stepping block toawrds the Lead Therapist Position

Required Skills:

  • Therapist with 6+ months of ABA experience
  • Desire to pursue higher education in ABA
  • Proficient in delivering quality ABA intervention

LEAD ABA THERAPIST

The Lead Therapist is a therapist with 1+ year of ABA experience, has a desire to pursue higher education in ABA, and has shown proficiency in Lead Therapist Assistant requirements.
